Getting Korean Visa
This step is getting E-2 Visa: since the process is very strict, you need provide all the materials exactly what they required. We will submit all to Korean Immigration Office (KIO). KIO will give us your Certificate of Issuance. And the Certificate of Issuance number will be sent toyou via email. And with that number you get E-2 Visa from nearest Korean Embassy/Consulate. Exception: Korean Americans can get F-4 Visa See below.
- Immediately scan the following documents and email to comdsda@yahoo.com and to info@sdakorea.org
- Bachelor’s Degree Diploma copy (1 page)
- Informed Consent Document (p. 1 p. 2) copy (2 pages)
- Photocopy of your Passport picture and signature page (1 page)
- Prepare the following material necessary for your Certificate of Issuance. Before you send the following materials to Korea, call nearest Korean Embassy (http://www.koreaembassyusa.org/) or Consulate (www.koreanconsulatela.org) and ask what you need to submit for E-2 Visa. If any of the following documents is/are what they want, make sure you prepare those necessary documents.
- Notarized Diploma copy with Apostille seal.* See below Police Certificate and Apostille Seal. Copy your diploma. Go to notary with both original and copy: you write on the copy “This is my true copy of my diploma” and sign in front of notary, and then notary will verify with original and sign. You bring the signed one to the nearest office for Apostille seal.
- Certified Transcript (must be in a sealed university envelope with the seal or signature across the envelope flap). Your name should be shown on the front of envelop.
- Original Informed Consent Document p.1 p.2 (2 pages DKY018A&B Korean Immigration Form)
- E-2 Applicant’s Health Statement (1 page DKY019 Korean Immigration Form)
- Consul’s Checklist for E-2 Applicant (1 page Korean Immigration Form)
- Police Clearance Certificate with Apostille Seal.* See below Police Certificate and Apostille Seal. You go to the nearest police station and ask it, after you get it bring to the nearest office for Apostille Seal.
- Signed Volunteer Teaching Contract, (DKY011, 2 pages) sign it at the bottom (do not bother details, you will sign the actual contract when you are in Korea)
- Personal Information (DKY012, 3 pages)- fill out completely
- Current Résumé--(No more than 2 pages please)
- Two (2) color passport-size photos Take 4 passport type photos in photo shop. Send us 2 and keep 2 for your visa.
- Photocopy of your Passport picture and signature page (please do not send original). Please copy a clear professional photocopy
- Marriage Certificate Copy/Divorce Decree Copy (if applicable)
- Citizenship Certificate Copy - (if applicable)

- Naturalized Korean-American and his/her immediate descendants can apply for F-4 visa.
- F-4 visa holders can engage in extensive activity including work in Korea up to two-years unlike other visa status, and this status is extendable with Local Immigration Office.
- For F-4 visa to be issued, the applicant needs to fulfil his Korean nationality renunciation report with Korean Ministry of Justice or Korean Consulate before visa application.
- The necessary documents are as follows
1) Passport
2) Completed Visa Application Form[

3) Documents proving applicant's origin is Korean such as Korean family registry or, birth certificate, etc
4) Document proving that applicant completed his/her Korean nationality renunciation report
5) Other documents which are deemed to be necessary by the Korean Justice Minister.

US citizen who want to teach English at foreign language institutions or organizations need to apply for E-2 visa.
- The applicant is required to have a bachelor degree or equivalent degree.

- Other documents which are deemed to be necessary by the Minister of Justice

2. An immediate family member of a Korean-foreigner who obtained foreign nationality
- Substantiating documents that prove his or her parent's ex-Korean nationality
- Substantiating documents for the reasons and the time of obtaining a foreign nationality of the applicant and his or her parents
- Substantiating documents which establish the relationship of the family such as a certificate of birth
- Other documents which are deemed to be necessary by the Minister of Justice

GETTING KOREAN VISA When Coordinator in Korea get your Certificate of Issuance number, you need to call nearest Korean Embassy (http://www.koreaembassyusa.org/) or Consulate (www.koreanconsulatela.org) and get E-2 Visa (for Korean Americans F-4 Visa). They may require necessary documents (such as passport, application, and 2 passport pictures etc).

- FLYING TO KOREA FOR EXCITING MISSION ADVENTURES You can fly to Seoul, Korea for volunteer missionary work, to fulfill the thrilling mission Jesus assigned to you personally, saving numerous Koreans for eternity with Jesus. Make sure you take your Original Bachelor’s Degree Diploma (no copies please) with you when you fly to Korea, Korean Educational Department will require you to show the original degree.
- If you do not have passport yet, please Obtain passport as soon as possible. USA: www.americanpassport.com; CANADA: http://www.ppt.gc.ca/ The name in the passport should be matched with that of Degree and Transcript for Korean Government Visa purpose. If passport name is not match with Degree and Transcript make new passport so that it will be matched unless your degree had been issued with your maiden name on before your marriage.
- KEEPING RECEIPTS FOR REIMBURSMENT Keep copies of all your receipts for your passport, phone calls, faxes, postage, immunizations, Federal Express, DHL, Express Mail International, or overnight mail and as long as you are approved by the General Conference and you come to Korea, you will be reimbursed when you arrive at Seoul, Korea.
